Come and enjoy winter sports at Mt. Madarao
Madarao mountain resort is located in the northern part of Nagano prefecture between Nozawa Onsen and Myoko Kogen, about 3hr30min by car from central Tokyo. In Madarao mountain resort, 60% of the courses are engrossed, so there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to enjoy a fluffy, deep powder when you ride.
Also, since not many people like to ski on powder, there is not a lot of competition for the slopes.
Mt. Madarao stands 1382 meters tall and has 30 separate courses with 11 lifts. The ski area features a unique bowl-shape, and since Madarao mountain resort was host to Japan’s first freestyle skiing competition, there are many unique courses to choose from. There are groomed courses, ungroomed courses, tree run courses, free ride park, kid’s park, wave courses, snowshoeing and hiking. Madarao mountain resort can be enjoyed by everyone from first timers to advanced riders!

There are Western style rooms available for two or three people to relax after snow sport. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner and a TV. will prepare your room based on the number of skiers and boarder. Please contact us for specific details.

The Lodge multi-cultural team will be welcoming you in our cozy and very friendly cottage. The property is including 16 western style rooms with single or double beds for 1 to 4 people and adjustable floor heaters. Some of these rooms are equipped with brand new toilets and bathrooms to give you full comfort and privacy. The lodge also features a wide dining room, bar, game room, brand new shared toilets, common bath, laundry room, dry room, guest parking, and more...
