Mikomoto is located at the southernmost point of the Izu peninsula. You can do some real drift diving at Mikomoto, where there is a strong flowing current. A wide range of Various big things can be seen here, including occasionally sea turtles and hammerhead sharks. The hammerheads usually arrive around summer every year. As they roam around the island often appear in great numbers. If you are lucky, you can swim along with them. We call this the "Hammer River". Mikomoto is truly an exciting location but be aware that this dive tour isn't for beginner divers. You need to have a good level of experience. You need to have logged at least over 50 logged dives minimum and hold an Advanced Open Water Diver Certification level.

Diving operations from Shimoda Station to the South Izu go on daily.

Dive trip Schedules
The PADI instructor guide with you. A PADI English-speaking instructor will go with you on your diving trip (all dive staff speak English, French, and Japanese). At least two people are needed for operations. Divers on their own should ask about the schedule. To make a reservation, please fill out the form. Please get in touch with us, etc., before making a reservation if you have any questions about the program. If you are participating in big group, or dive shops tours, please contact us so that we can make special arrangements. |

MIKOMOTO is a diving location that is open from May to the end of November. other two Hidden-gem locations all ways open, and A minimum of two participants are needed for each dive date. Locations in Mikomoto (Hammer Head sharks diving), Kumomi(Cave), and Shoubusawa(Shipwreck) offer hidden gem dives. Although Mikomoto is the main location, if the strait is closed that day or the conditions are bad, we will move on to the other two dive sites Kumomi(Cave), or Shoubusawa(Shipwreck). so, you can dive in the other two places. Mikomoto always comes first, but as mentioned before that, please be prepared for anything to change. If you only want to attend Mikomoto, do not apply. There are no guarantees for it is a natural ocean condition.
The cylinder tank used is a Air10-liter steel tank. (Not available Nitrox,)
Rental wetsuits are 5mm thick. Rental BCDs have weight pockets. Weight belts are also provided.
Weights are available in 1kg, 1.5kg, and 2kg sizes.

- if your buddy will be dive master or instructor you can participants over 30 logged dives
- Participants need to have hold an Advanced Open Water Diver.
- Participants also need know how to use SMB (DSMB) and signal bell rent FREE!
- Dive time is 35 minutes each, including safety stops.
- The tank is a 10L Steel Tank. And there is no Nitrox availavle.
- Participants must be able to gear up by yourself without assistance.
- Participants must be able to descend and ascend without assistance.
- A dive computer is required.
- Participants have not dived for more than a year, please do a check dive before other day.
- This is basically a drift dive, so please refrain from doing it if you are not confident.
- Please refrain from participating if you have a medical history.
