Izu is the best choice if you're looking for a dive spot that offers beautiful underwater scenery and wildlife, without having to travel far away from Tokyo. It's a popular spot for divers based in Tokyo and sees lots of visitors on weekends and weekdays throughout the year. Both shore and boat dives are available, as well as transport to a great number of excellent dive sites. We can recommend the best spot for you, based upon your experience level and the ocean conditions. All the guides here at East Dive are licensed PADI Instructors who have multiple years of exploring these dive spots under their belts and are happy to share their local knowledge with you.

MIKOMOTO/SOUTH IZU

Mikomoto is located at the southernmost point of the Izu peninsula. You can do some real drift diving at Mikomoto, where there is a strong flowing current. A wide range of Various big things can be seen here, including occasionally sea turtles and hammerhead sharks. The hammerheads usually arrive around summer every year. As they roam around the island often appear in great numbers. If you are lucky, you can swim along with them. We call this the "Hammer River".
Mikomoto is truly an exciting location but be aware that this dive tour isn't for beginner divers. You need to have a good level of experience. You need to have logged at least over 30 logged dives and hold an Advanced Open Water Diver Certification. |

NAKAGI/SOUTH IZU

Nakagi is located at the southernmost point of the Izu peninsula. You can do some real drift diving at OKINE, and beautiful beach HIRIZO shore, where there is a very popular spot for people who are interested in skin diving or snorkeling, also scuba diving much better comfortable white sands, dynamic of topography,
Thanks to the warm currents moving up the Pacific Ocean, the water can reach 27°C/80.6°F in the summer. Visibility in the summer and the autumn is usually greater than 20 meters (65ft). At the NAKAGI diving You need to have a good level of experience. You need to have logged at least over 30 logged dives and hold an Advanced Open Water Diver Certification. |

KUMOMI/SOUTH IZU

Kumomi is very popular spot for people who are interested in cave diving. There are many dive sites in the bay that feature caves, and a few on the outside too. The dive boats here are equipped with a life-style exit, which means that 4 divers can be pulled up at once. Not only are the boats being comfortable, but the water is also exceptionally warm. Thanks to the warm currents moving up the Pacific Ocean, the water can reach 27°C/80.6°F in the summer. Visibility in the summer and the autumn is usually greater than 20 meters (65ft).
One unique feature we call the "Cave of H". Although truth be told, it's more like a underwater maze than a cave. Don't be intimidated; our experts can guide you through here easily. If you're interested in even larger caves, ask us about the giant underwater cave. |

Dive trip Schedules
Our PADI Instructor will guide with you. On your diving trip, a PADI instructor who speaks English will be there (Dives Staff are speaking English, French, and Japanese,) If you're a sola diver, don't worry—we can pair you up with a diving buddy. Please complete the form in order to make a reservation. In order to inquire about the program, feel free to contact us, etc., prior to making a reservation. We can make special arrangements if you are joining a group tour consecutively, so please get in touch with us before. |

Only June through the end of October is this diving location available, and during the busiest times of the year, it is only open on weekdays. A minimum of two participants are needed for each dive date.
Locations in Mikomoto, Nakagi (Hirizo), and Kumomi offer hidden gem dives. Although Mikomoto is the main location, if the strait is closed that day or the conditions are bad, we will move on to the other two dive sites. so you can dive in the other two places. Mikomoto always comes first, but as mentioned before that, please be prepared for anything to change. If you only want to attend Mikomoto, do not apply. Since it is natural, there are no guarantees.

- Participants also need to know how to use an SMB (DSMB).
- Dive time is 40 minutes each, including safety stops.
- The tank is a 10L aluminum tank. And there is no nitrox.
- Participants must be able to gear up by yourself without assistance.
- Participants must be able to descend and ascend without assistance.
- A dive computer and SMB are required.
- Participants have not dived for more than a year, please do a check dive before other day.
- This is basically a drift dive, so please refrain from doing it if you are not confident.
- Please refrain from participating if you have a medical history.
