The best way to get to the ocean
JR Atami Station : (There is only one gate) 8:30 AM
Dive Site : (Izu peninsula dive Service Facility) 9:30 AM
There are several ways to get there.
Shinkansen from Tokyo.
Please board the Kodama Shinkansen from Tokyo. (Please don’t board the Hikari or Nozomi Shinkansen, as they do not stop at Atami!) Please board the Shinkansen that leaves Tokyo at 7:26, Shinagawa at 7:34 and Shin-Yokohama at 7:45. This train arrives at 8:11 in time for our 8:30 pickup at Atami. Please plan ample time for buying tickets at the station. You are welcome to take an earlier train, but any trains departing later than the Tokyo 7:26 Kodama Shinkansen will not arrive in time for the pickup.
We recommend you set aside 15-20 minutes of time for buying tickets at the Shinkansen Information Center.
You can ask the Information Center staff if you need any help.
The JR Tokaido Line
Please take the local Tokaido Line bound for Atami. Board the train that leaves Tokyo at 6:18, Shinagawa at 6:27, and Yokohama at 6:45.
Additionally, there are many business hotels in Atami if you wish to arrive the night before.
Please ensure you arrive in Atami before 8:30 otherwise the van will depart without you.
You will be able to see our staff as soon as you exit the station.
Atami Station Drop-Off
When you finish diving you will be dropped off at Atami station around 5pm. We recommend after the drop off that you take the opportunity to check out the local onsen, sea food, firework festivals and more! Check out the tourist center at the station for more information.
