About the Diving spot in Izu Peninsula for 1st day.
You can request a dive site at the Izu Peninsula, but please keep in mind that bad weather might require you to switch from East Izu to West Izu. from West izu to East izu. Because of this, it is unable to the decide if you select a diving site request. Our diving team continually develops the ideal conditions for the east or west Izu Peninsula. Please let us decide the diving site for the day after we have confirmed the participation skill level and the condition of the ocean. In the waters around the Izu Peninsula, the wind is always from the west or east. This determines the best diving spot. So please leave the decision of the best spot to us.

FUTO/EAST IZU

FUTO is popular site is our recommendation for the best diving on the Izu Peninsula. There are two dive spots in Futo, which are both located in a large cove. From the shore point, even beginners can enjoy diving here. You can see a wide range of tropic fish in these waters, which migrate to the cover every year. OCEANIC PARK/EAST IZU

IZU OCEANIC PARK is popular site is our recommendation for the best diving on the Izu Peninsula. The underwater geographical features here were created when Mount Omuroyama erupted, and lava flowed into the sea. The water here is absolutely teeming with sea life. Warm water is brought in by a warm current named 'Kuroshio', which flows up from the Pacific Ocean, past the Philippines. In the summertime the temperature reaches 25°C/77°F! YAWATANO/EAST IZU

YAWATANO is another dive site located in East Izu, not far from Izukougen Station. This coast is facing the north-east, so if conditions are choppy in the west near Futo Ocean Park, you can still find calm waters here. Many fish live in the shallow waters of this embankment, including plenty of horse mackerel. You don't have to travel far from the entry point before you start to see the underwater wildlife, so this is a great spot for beginners. Read more.

Only Mikomoto (Hammer head dives) is a diving location that is open from May to the end of November. other two Hidden-gem locations all ways open, and A minimum of two participants are needed for each dive date. Locations in Mikomoto (Hammer Head sharks), Kumomi(Cave), and Shoubusawa(Wreck) offer hidden gem dives. Although Mikomoto is the main location, if the strait is closed that day or the conditions are bad, we will move on to the other two dive sites Kumomi(Cave), or Shoubusawa(Shipwreck). so, you can dive in the other two places.

MIKOMOTO/SOUTH IZU

Mikomoto is located at the southernmost point of the Izu peninsula. You can do some real drift diving at Mikomoto, where there is a strong flowing current. A wide range of Various big things can be seen here, including occasionally sea turtles and hammerhead sharks. The hammerheads usually arrive around summer every year. As they roam around the island often appear in great numbers. If you are lucky, you can swim along with them. We call this the "Hammer River". Mikomoto is truly an exciting location but be aware that this dive tour isn't for beginner divers. You need to have a good level of experience. You need to have logged at least over 50 logged dives minimum and hold an Advanced Open Water Diver Certification level.

KUMOMI/SOUTH IZU

Kumomi is very popular spot for people who are interested in cave diving. There are many dive sites in the bay that feature caves, and a few on the outside too. The dive boats here are equipped with a life-style exit, which means that 4 divers can be pulled up at once. Not only are the boats being comfortable, but the water is also exceptionally warm. Thanks to the warm currents moving up the Pacific Ocean, the water can reach 27°C/80.6°F in the summer. Visibility in the summer and the autumn is usually greater than 20 meters (65ft).
One unique feature we call the "Cave of H". Although truth be told, it's more like a underwater maze than a cave. Don't be intimidated; our experts can guide you through here easily. If you're interested in even larger caves, ask us about the giant underwater cave. |

SHOUBUSAWA/SOUTH IZU

Shoubuswa is very popular spot for people who are interested in wreck diving.
including soft corals, sea sponges, fishes, crabs and nudibranchs. It is also close to Shimoda Station and is introduced as a Hidden-gem dive site. The wreck is about 23m/59FT. deep and 20m/55FT long, so you can enjoy it at your own pace. There is little movement, so you can dive freely at the point within the time limit. You can see many schools of fish, Thanks to the warm currents moving up the Pacific Ocean, the water can reach 27°C/80.6°F in the summer. Visibility in the autumn and winter is usually greater than 20 meters (65ft). |

It is located near an ocean beach and diving services, and it has a lot of restaurants and an onsen. The Izukougen Lodge is highly recommended for anyone who wants to vacation with friends, family, everyone take part in any exciting dives or courses. There are nine rooms total, including twin and double beds. You are welcome to unwind and have fun at the Naituer location, which has a bar and cafe with many of drinks.

- Dive time is 30 minutes each, including safety stops. this is the Mikomoto rules.
- The tank is a 10L Steel Tank. add-one 12L, and there is no Nitrox available.
- Participants must be able to gear up by yourself without assistance.
- Participants must be able to descend and ascend without assistance.
- A dive computer is required.
- Participants have not dived for more than a 6 month, please do a check dive before other day.
- This is basically a drift dive, so please refrain from doing it if you are not confident.
- Please refrain from participating if you have a medical history.
