The Izu Peninsula experiences warm underwater temperatures in the summer and fall, ranging from 27 to 25°C, but in the winter and spring, the temperature drops to around 20 to 14°C. When the temperature goes below, it's the clearest visibility of the year. For any Padi-certified course, we recommend using Drysuit. Our team has extensive experience instructing beginners and PADI course participants on how to use a dry suit, even if you have never used one before. In order for you to dive all year long, we'll make sure you're properly fitted and comfy.

How to wear a dry suit and choose and inner layer.
Dry suits are easy to put on. Step into the suit and pull the braces over your shoulder, then insert your arms into the sleeves. Next, push your head through the neck of the suit. There is a large zipper located on the back of the suit. You may need your buddy's help to get it zipped up. Finally, attach a strap at the neck, straps at the wrists, weights at the ankles, and you're good to go! 'Inner layer' refers to the warm base layer you wear under the dry suit. This layer stays dry underneath the dry suit and helps keep you insulated under the water. During the autumn season just a long sleeve t-shirt and leggings will do. Think heat-tech, or the merino wool undershirts and leggings found at most hiking goods stores. In the winter, you'll want a more substantial inner layer. We would recommend a warm wear and sweatpants in addition to what you would normally wear in spring/autumn.
